TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

Giraffe Consulting's experience in developing strategic and operational technology transfer from academia includes:

• The development of a novel camera system to monitor a 360-degree plane of view with Napier University. The technology MOVCON was highly undeveloped and the team set up a TCS scheme to further develop the technology towards full commercialisation.
• The development of SLIMDIS a miniature high-resolution liquid crystal display devices where the technology was prototyped within University of Edinburgh and the team designed and developed the display drive electronics to allow the production of a demonstrator. This project was DTI funded.
• The identification of key commercial markets and the subsequent development of a commercially targeted demonstrator for University of Strathclyde Logical Image Processing PoC project. The team have established links to market and have initiated initial discussions with large multinational camera manufacturers, MoD, US Navy and the Police.
